I changed the spark plug wires in my '93 civic, the correct lengths on the correct spark plugs in the correct firing order, but the end that plugs in to the distributor I can't get the rubber part all the way over the plastic nubs. If it's connected (it pops on and off here, but just doesn't cover the plastic part) is this a problem?

you can slide wire boot back first put wire in cap till clecks in slide boot back on cap wire nub wd40 will help to slide an drys in a little wile

Wrong wires.
the rubber boot is pulled up on the wires too far. pull the boot down some and see if it will go on the cap.
