ok tonto, your doin better on the english but still, timing hasn't been adjustable in years, ask a real question.

If you have never done it before, you will need several things: First, you will need to know the timing setting for your engine. Second, you will need a timing light; distributor wrench and a white maker.

The timing marks are located on the fly-wheel cam at the front of the engine. You will see little slashes with or without numbers on them. Mark the spot for the timing for your specific engine; loosen the distributor nut (located at the base of the distributor) and turn the whole distributor until it lines up with your mark. You will have to use the light to see the slashes and your mark. Once aligned, tighten the nut and you are all set.

This is not a task for a first timer. It takes training and experience to get this right. If your timing is off, it would be best to take it to a repair shop and have everything done correctly.

Let's make a deal. You tell me what car you have, brand, year, engine size, and model, and maybe I can tell you what to do.
