I need to replace the spark plugs on my 97 Pontiac Sunfire. I can see where they connect to the spark plugs, but it appears the other end of the spark plug wire dissapears behind the engine. I was also recently told that there is no distributor on the 97 Sunfire, so what are the chords connecting to?

The wires and coil packs are hidden under the top cover which sits in the valley between the cams. Pry it up carefully... But then again, it will probably need to be changed as well.

they use coil packs now, the wires just plug in them as they use to with the distibutator
one at a time, its not that difficult, i mean come on, open the hood and look at it.
