The ones I have on my 1990 Integra are still good as far as I know.|||Get them checked. IF they are ok, then there is no need. At times the wires can get damaged and thus doesnt give full power so u should replace them. Your car is 16 years old, so better to get them checked even if u think they are ok.|||New plugs will likely give you more performance (if they are over 30k miles old). You can test your spark plug wires with a multimeter, check their resistance individually...should be nearly the same for each spark plug wire. If one is way off, you need new wires if not, you are probably good.

If your plug wires on your 1990 Integra are the originals, they need changing.
One layman way to tell is to open your car%26#039;s engine hood at nite so the engine compartment is dark and run your engine. If you see some sparks jumping from your wires, then they are bad.
Your wires could still have an open spot in them in which the above method will not detect.

Nology spark plug wires are a better choice if you%26#039;re worried about performance. Second would be to upgrade your ignition coil. This will allow for more amperage and a more consistent spark. How do you know they are still %26quot;Good%26quot;?|||Of course, if your running stock wires, you can upgrade to 7 or 9 mm wires, which cause more spark to be present at the plug, but everything is related, so running a good set of split fires or other premium plugs will only enhance the wires. You could probably get at most 2 to 3 horsepower running those 7 mm, and maybe 5 with the 9mm, but the 9mm will cost you prolly close to $200, for a good set, not the checkers specials....|||If they are original they%26#039;re now 16 years old. Like everything else under the hood they are exposed to high temperatures %26amp; contamination. The best way to find out whether they are functioning properly is to take it to a local shop %26amp; have them do a diagnostics check. If you%26#039;re looking for a performance boost then think about changing to something like Accel wires %26amp; MSD ingition. It won%26#039;t give you a significant kick in the butt. You will however notice a difference. Both products are available at any performance shop.|||Copper plug wires are the best. Are these what you have? If not, get some. the performance will improve
