About a week after changing spark plug my check engine light came.?

i took it back to the shop that changed the plugs and they said it was a stuck lifter and needed a new engine. the vehicle chugs between 15-30 mph and engine light blinks. help me get this 2000 plymouth grand voyeger to work!!!!!!!!!!!!|||Before they convince you to put a new motor in it, have someone check the spark plugs. One may have worked lose or maybe (don%26#039;t know how much business you have done with these people) you are being set up. Have you been having engine problems? Also there are engine additives that you can get to help lifters-fuel injectors and other things that may be the problem. Definitely, get other opinions before sinking money like that into you vehicle.|||take it to another shop for a second opinion without telling the new shop what the other said. it sounds like the first shop might be trying to pull something. I have personally never changed an engine for a lifter. It%26#039;s cheaper to fix it.|||Have the vehicle scanned to show any codes. I had a similal problem with an %26#039;01 dodge pickup...turned out to be the TPS on the injector system ..TPS= throttle position sensor|||1 gas cap on tight? 2 what did the CK engine lite code say...3 sounds like loose/bad wire or plug.....4 try a can motor flush before next oil change if its really a stuck lifter...

5 yes just go to any auto parts store ask for computer scan...most are free...if they just give you a # make them look it up....[lazy bums]

more info get better answers,,,,change oil on time? how many miles..other work done/needed...|||go to autozone

get it scanned, for FREE|||A blinking CEL is an engine misfire. Could certainly be related to all the work done on it already.

Most likely NOT a lifter issue as pretty much all common engine valvetrains are hydraulic in nature...you%26#039;d be hearing a loud tap or knock from that part of the engine right now.

Definitely NOT a TPS issue.
